Any young person applying for an internship, work placement or full-time job - in the City or elsewhere - needs to have some basic tools at their fingertips to help them make the best impression.
Below we have included some guides based on our long experience of working with young people entering the workforce for the first time. Whether you're applying for a Brokerage role, or any other opportunity, these resources will help you.
For any job you want to apply for, you will need to produce a CV for your prospective employer - unless they have their own application form.
Use our standard template to help you lay out your CV clearly and succinctly.
Here we have highlighted the Top 10 errors we see in CVs from our candidates.
Some of these may apply to your existing CV, so read this document and then check your CV!
Preparing for an interview is always a nerve wracking experience, so it helps to turn up knowing that you are as prepared as you can be.
Use our guide to help you know what you should do in advance of any interview to improve your chances of performing on the day.
Unless you are filling in an application form, you will usually need to write a cover letter to accompany your CV when applying for a job. Your cover letter needs to highlight your motivation for applying for the role, and highlight how your experience and skills will make you the perfect candidate to interview.
Read our guide for advice on how to present your letter.
