BLP have given us up to SIX places on their highly regarded summer vacation scheme – exclusively for Brokerage candidates. Applying through the Brokerage means you will be in a much smaller candidate pool than the general applications – and of course we will be able to provide advice and guidance on your application.
ACADEMIC CRITERIA FOR BLP’S SUMMER VACATION SCHEME:
Candidates should have:
• 340 UCAS points (AAB) at A level or equivalent
• A 2:1 (or above) degree – predicted or achieved
Successful candidates will be provided with a two week paid placement in the firm, during which you will sit in two different departments and be provided with a trainee buddy for both weeks. There will be a variety of talks, presentations and social activities, aiming to ensure you get a real insight into life as a trainee at BLP.
The summer vacation placements are 15-26 June, 6-17 July and 27 July-7 August 2015, and you would be based at BLP’s London Bridge office.
Most excitingly, and quite uniquely, during the second week of your placement you will have a training contract interview with two partners at the firm. If you are successful after the interview, you will be offered a training contract – and your future career in law will be sorted!
This opportunity will be competitive, so if your CV is not up to scratch you will NOT be shortlisted for the next stage, so here’s a few tips:

After submitting CVs, candidates will need to take part in a multi-stage application process. This will involve a written aptitude test, followed by an assessment centre in February. The Brokerage will be supporting you throughout, of course.
