London Duathlon Fundraising Challenge Raises Over £5,000
21 Sep 15

Hats off to all our Alumni, friends, family and staff who participated in the London Duathlon. Thanks to their commitment to the challenges set - and of course the generosity of their sponsors - they have raised over £5,000 for the Brokerage.

Dhilan Patel, an alumni board member working at Scotiabank, and Dan Veazey, a friend of the Brokerage, completed the full London Duathlon of 10km run, 44km bike and 5km run through the beautiful surroundings of Richmond Park. Recording brilliant times, and enjoying the challenge they faced, between them they raised a staggering £3,500.

Team Beaz’leys, consisted of a group of current CBT interns and placement students working at the insurance firm, Beazleys. Nida Jafri, Ayobami Lawal and Maria Baez Bano (and her dad) teamed together to participate in the challenge, raising over £500. A special mention should go to Ayo who made a special return trip to London to participate, having already moved to Leeds University.

Team Brokerage Part-Timers consisted of Lynda, Sylvia and Peta who all work at the Brokerage part-time and wanted to do something extra to contribute to the charity’s work, while also meeting their own personal goals and challenge. Together they raised over £600.

Thanks also to the family and friends who cheered and supported the teams in Richmond Park. It was so gorgeous – the trees, the deer, the great open space – we can’t wait to do it again next year!!
