Habib Bank’s recruitment policy has always involved searching for talented recruits who would be able to provide a high level of performance in a professional manner.

We are very particular in our selection of recruitment agencies as it is important that those we work with understand our business and culture and offer candidates who not only have the intellectual and technical abilities but also have the right personal competencies to work for us.  Although we had been working in partnership with a small number of agencies for over 10 years we were conscious that at the entry level end of the market,  the 16 – 20 year olds, we were accessing a very limited pool of candidates. We were not seeing those who were eager to commence a career but who did not have the benefit of effective career counselling at school/college. Additionally, whilst academic qualifications are clearly important, some school/college leavers through no fault of their own fail to achieve their examination objectives but nevertheless have the intelligence and personal skills to be good candidates.

I was therefore pleased some 5 years ago to ‘discover’ The Brokerage where these very issues are addressed. Our experience of working with them has shown that they do not merely take young people onto their books in an effort to find them any job, but they work closely with them, understanding their individual needs and providing coaching and training in order to prepare them for the business world.  They also take time to understand our business, culture and requirements and the process is professional and well organised.  The Brokerage fits very well as a business partner and I am happy to be working with them.
