"Our students are typical South London students - it's not lack of ability that limits their aspirations or even lack of opportunity; it's that they don't know what opportunities exist or how to access them. Working with the Brokerage changes that, whether it's a Year 10 student's first visit to the City and excitement in winning a business game, or a Year 13 student being chosen for a paid summer internship with a leading City organisation.

The Brokerage add so much value because they understand the students' starting point, as well as the City, and welcome input in developing new programmes. They realise that for students it's not only about understanding the basics of the financial services sector, it's about realising that "someone like me" can work there and helping them have confidence in their presentational and networking skills to take that first step."
