Working in the City Programme
| Working in the City is now well established as a unique opportunity for students living in inner-London boroughs to gain an understanding of, and to begin accessing, one of the worlds most powerful finance centres.
Core funding for Working in the City is provided by UBS. What year groups can attend?Years 10 - 13 (ages 14 - 19) Is the programme applicable to your school?This programme is only available free to schools in the London boroughs of Barking & Dagenham, Camden, Greenwich, Hackney, Haringey, Islington, Lambeth, Lewisham, Newham, Southwark, Tower Hamlets, Waltham Forest and Westminster. What will students on the programme be involved in?Students will attend two workshops on two separate afternoons hosted by a different City company. Workshop 1, The City and its Workers. This workshop discusses "What is the City?" and what are the challenges and rewards awaiting young employees. Workshop 2, Skills, Qualities and the City. This workshop discusses what skills and qualities are desired by the City and how can you improve them. How many students can you bring?12 students can attend the 2 workshops. More places may be available but must be agreed with the Programme Manager. |
