Our executive director joins WCIB liverymen for lunch

Bridget Gardiner recognises our partnership with the Worshipful Company of International Bankers

On Wednesday 12th June, our executive director, Bridget Gardiner, was invited to speak at the Worshipful Company of International Bankers’ (WCIB) Liverymen’s Lunch. The event was the second of two special lunches exclusively for WCIB Liverymen to be held during Mark Sismey-Durrant’s year as Master.

After a sparkling wine reception, guests enjoyed a three-course meal before hearing from Bridget on The Brokerage’s long-standing partnership with the livery company. WCIB Livery Lunch

Throughout the years, The Brokerage has been grateful for the support of the Worshipful Company of International Bankers, particularly in relation to its aspiration-raising educational programmes. Being a charity with no government funding, we could not deliver our programmes without support such as this.

We look forward to continuing our work with the Worshipful Company of International Bankers and development of our Gateway to the City Careers programme, funded by the livery company. The programme, which we piloted in 2018 for Year 12 and 13 students, aligns with the government’s National Careers Strategy, and is based on the concept that students need a minimum of four career-related opportunities to inform their choices and succeed in achieving their goals.

A huge thank you to the Worshipful Company of International Bankers for their continued support.

  • The staff at The Brokerage are tremendously good at supporting their candidates. I felt really comfortable whenever asking for advice and always had quick replies to my emails. The team truly is selfless in their work and I can’t thank them enough – these opportunities have been incredible.
