In July we were delighted to be part of the Capsicum DA Charity Cup tournament, along with The Sick Children’s Trust and the Charlie Watkins Foundation.
Held at Powerleague Shoreditch, it was a day full of matches, with twenty seven football teams from across the insurance community getting involved for charity, and Wimbledon and the World Cup playing in the background – creating a truly exciting atmosphere!
As if that wasn’t enough, there were ice-cream, drinks, a BBQ and a raffle with amazing prizes on offer. Those lucky enough to win the draw went home with premiership rugby tickets, spa days and champagne, to name a few.
After 382 goals and 129 games of football, the event came to an end with DTW 1991 announced as the winners and Tokio Marine Kiln as runners up.
Altogether £20,000 was raised for the three charities – totally smashing last year’s total of £12,500!
We’d like to say a huge thank you to Arthur J. Gallagher for their matched giving scheme, which helped to make up this incredible total.
Thank you also to everyone who supported us, The Sick Children’s Trust and the Charlie Watkins Foundation. All the money raised will make a wonderful difference to so many lives.
