Celebrating More Top Notch Next Gen Sessions Opening Doors to the Future
It’s been another busy couple of weeks at The Brokerage!
We’re delighted to report that we’ve had two more NextGen sessions which went superbly well.
Mock Assessment Centre at Quilter – Senator House
Quilter hosted The Next Gen Talent Mock Assessment Centre session for our stage one candidates.
Our Mock Assessment Centre session is designed to help candidates evaluate the skills they have developed through the NextGen programme and gives real insight into how Assessment Centres work. The day included mock interviews with industry professionals and a group case study employing team working skills.
Harvey Rathore, Quilter Foundation Engagement Lead said:
“Our mock assessment centre day with The Brokerage was a fantastic opportunity for the candidates to build their confidence with interviews, practice their networking and presentation skills, and gain valuable experience within the workplace. It was inspiring to see our Quilter volunteers so engaged, creating a welcoming environment that put the candidates at ease. It was a powerful reminder that investing in our young people’s futures can lead to truly great things.“
Performing on the Job at A & O Shearman
We also held our first event for NextGen Stage 2 candidates at A&O Shearman Law firm focussing on performing in the Job.
Candidates had the opportunity to meet each other, The Brokerage Next Gen Team as well as an array of fantastic volunteers from A&O Shearman.
This session was designed to help candidates thrive within the professional work environment, handle potentially challenging situations with confidence and give the opportunity to learn from, ask questions to and network with industry professionals.
The candidates said:
“We were warmly met and briefed by a panel of skillful and inspiring A&O Shearman employees all at different levels in their career providing us with a large range of experiences and knowledge.
Excited to be part of the Next Gen Talent Programme and to have attended our first session at A&O Shearman”
another said:
“I also had the opportunity to take part in a business communication activity, where we discussed real-life workplace scenarios and shared strategies on how to handle them. The session ended with networking, allowing me to connect with fellow participants and gain further insights from professionals in the field. A huge thank you to The Brokerage and the volunteers for their time, advice, and encouragement. I’m looking forward to the rest of the programme and to continuing my learning journey!”
Thanks so much to Quilter and A & O Shearman and all our industry professionals who shared their expertise and volunteered time to support The Brokerage candidates in their early career.
