Launch of online registrations

Last week we promised to update you on ways that we’re going to be working with our students over the coming months; I’m delighted to be able to bring you an update on this so quickly!

The Brokerage’s programmes teams have been busy thinking up new ideas, developing online content and trialling different platforms to make sure any activities we offer are comparable to our usual work. I’m pleased to announce, later this week, we’ll be launching an online version of our Year 12 registration sessions. Eligible students who sign up via our website, will be invited to an interactive online registration session, which will be followed up with a one-to-one phone call with The Brokerage. Registering with us will give students access to our employability skills support service, as well as work experience, internship and mentoring opportunities.

We’re also continuing to support our young people with online resources and updates, and are working hard to bring more of our programmes online and provide opportunities for our corporate partners to get involved with online volunteering.

Our work supporting young people through this crisis and in driving social mobility in the City is more important than ever. I’d like to express my deep gratitude to all our funders, volunteers and partners who are helping us through this challenging time.

We’ll keep you updated as we continue to move our programmes online and offer enhanced support to our young people.

  • The team at The Brokerage have put together a very well thought out programme. They have even asked students to trial their content and have taken our thoughts into their consideration. All the modules will be really helpful to me because they target exactly what I am not sure about such as how to write a good CV and cover letter, and how to use LinkedIn most effectively. I think this has been a very beneficial opportunity to me; I can’t wait to start the programme!
