The Lloyd’s IntoWork conference

Tomorrow’s workforce enhance their skills at the Lloyd’s Into Work conference.

What better way for young aspiring professionals to enhance their skills than in a professional environment with real employers to provide feedback!

This was the case for some of our candidates on Friday 27th July, who took part in our annual IntoWork conference, held at Lloyd’s.

Funded by Lloyd’s Community Programme, the one-day event is designed to give 16-24 year olds an insight into a typical assessment centre and the professional skills needed for the world of work.

Throughout the day, students took part in a series of workshops centred on increasing the employability skills needed for working in the insurance and professional services sector.

We were lucky to have volunteers from across the Lloyd’s market join us on the day, who provided the students with personalised verbal and written feedback on their interview skills.

Towards the end of the day, the young people were given a chance to quiz the experts at an interactive Q&A session.

The event finished with a careers fair, giving them the chance to seek real opportunities in the professional world.

Find out about the other opportunities we provide for young people.

  • Thank you Tom for all the hard work you have put into this, it has made a significant difference to our students, especially some of our lower ability kids who have unfortunate life problems. It truly is an inspiration to work alongside The Brokerage.
