Apprenticeships in the City with Allen and Overy
Do you want to want to start a career in law, but are not sure if you want to go through the university route? Then a solicitor apprenticeship may be the route for you! Learn more about this at our Apprenticeships in the City event with Magic Circle law firm, Allen & Overy!
Allen & Overy are launching a brand new apprenticeship programme for school leavers that leads to qualification as a solicitor in the UK. You’ll hear from the recruitment team and current solicitors about what day to day life as an apprentice will be like and how to apply for the programme.

Do you want to know more about the tech sector and the various roles it could offer you? If so, join this session with global tech company, FactSet! This session will provide insight into the growing tech sector, exploring different sub-sectors, roles and entry paths to a role in Tech in the City.
This is a great opportunity to learn from the experts in a question and answer session, where you will be able to hear about the career journeys of FactSet employees and ask any questions you may have. FactSet creates flexible, open data and software solutions for over 100,000 of investment professionals around the world, providing access to financial data and analytics that investors use to make crucial decisions. Working in the City with Canopius
Online workshop aimed at introducing careers in insurance featuring a live Q&A session with volunteers from Canopius.
Canopius is an independent (re)insurance company with a strong presence both at Lloyd’s in London and across the globe. They are backed by private equity owners with a large asset base that enables them to capitalise on the ever changing market. They write a wide variety of insurance and reinsurance business.
They indemnify their clients and aim to get them back into the same position they were in before they had their loss. This covers a wide variety of eventualities from helping rebuild buildings in California after a large earthquake, through ensuring that the construction of an offshore wind-farm can continue, to assisting our clients to return safely from a kidnap situation.
