What happens when a Brokerage candidate never really leaves?

They grow. They lead. They give back. And they help open the door for the next generation.

Edna joined The Brokerage as a sixth former and went on to attend nearly 50 events throughout her school and university career.

She took part in our very first online mentoring programme with Acuris, before securing an internship with CFC.

As a Brokerage Young Leader, she continued to build her leadership and changemaking skills through focus groups, reverse mentoring and leadership coaching.

And then came the full circle moment…

Candidate → Young Leader → Alumna → Volunteer

Today, Edna is back at Brokerage events as a young professional, sharing her lived experience and early-career knowledge with the next generation of our Talent Network.

She’s hosted webinars, delivered speeches and joined careers panels helping others navigate the opportunities she once discovered herself.

“I am passionate about volunteering to be part of the change I want to see in my generation; to help students who may not have grown up with resources or connections to have a head start. Only then can we have a true playing field.”

It’s not just about opening doors. It’s about creating a community that stays with you — and giving you the opportunity to hold the door open for someone else.
