What is the Next Gen Talent Career Programme?

The Next Gen Talent Career Programme, led by The Brokerage, is your ultimate guide to securing a professional role in the City. Designed for young people aged 16–25, this programme serves as your compass to confidently navigate today’s competitive job market.

 

You’ll become part of a community that values social mobility and champions underrepresented, diverse talent. Most of all, you'll be on a programme that understands your early career journey. The Next Gen Talent Programme is here to help you navigate your way. TOGETHER.

The programme journey

With a structured timeline and dynamic groups of 50 candidates, you’ll be matched with a dedicated Careers Coach. They’ll guide you through a journey of mentoring, upskilling, and real-world preparation to help you thrive.

 

Our goal? To open the doors to opportunity and empower the next generation of talent to succeed in the corporate world.

    Join the Talent Network to access our exclusive career opportunities and support. Based on the info you share, you’ll either start at Stage One or move straight into Stage Two of the programme.

  • LEARN THE SKILLS

     

    • Work with a dedicated career coach from day one – get guidance and support throughout the programme.

    • Understand yourself and your goals – explore your strengths and identify areas to grow.

    • Discover your chosen sector – learn about the roles, industries and skills employers are looking for.

    • Build job-ready skills – develop your CV, job-search strategy, and interview techniques.

    • Practise real recruitment activities – take part in a Mock Assessment Centre, including interview simulations and case study tasks.

    • Get ready to apply – by the end of Stage One, you’ll have the skills and confidence to start applying for opportunities.

     

    You’ll also attend a Mock Assessment Centre (MAC) to practice in a real-world setting:

    • Real Interview Simulation

    • Case Study Task

     

    ✅ Pass the MAC, and you’ll move on to Stage Two.

  • USE THE SKILLS

    ​

    • Continue working with your career coach – personalised support as you apply for roles.

    • Receive 1:1 mentoring – guidance to help you navigate applications and career decisions.

    • Find the right opportunity – support securing internships, placements or entry-level roles that match your goals.

    • Develop workplace confidence – coaching to help you succeed once you start your role.

    • Launch your career – once placed, you’ll join our pool of career-ready candidates with access to exclusive opportunities.

The Career Programme is open to members of our Talent Network who meet our core eligibility criteria.

Be aged 16–25

Live and study in the UK (or recently graduated)

Be eligible to work in the UK

Have 4/C or above in English and Maths GCSEs
