On November 19th, 2024, The Brokerage held “The Brokerage Celebrates Success Event 2024” at the central offices of HFW, one of our valued partners. The evening celebrated the hard work, dedication, and achievements of our funders, partners, young people, and volunteers.

On 20th November The Brokerage hosted its annual Careers Conference 2024 at Fidelis Partnership in London, bringing together over 60 talented young people from underrepresented backgrounds for a day of professional development, networking, and inspiration.

Last week, Meta hosted an inspiring Elevate insight session exclusively for candidates from The Brokerage, offering an up-close look at the world of tech and the valuable career paths within it.

Are you ready to explore the world of tech, sales, and product management? The Brokerage is excited to launch the Elevate Meta Programme, an exclusive opportunity for young people to gain insights and skills from one of the most innovative companies in the world—Meta (formerly Facebook).

Through in-depth surveys and interviews, we explore why young people from under-represented backgrounds require additional support to access professional careers. Many face financial struggles, lack the networks to break into the City and encounter barriers their more privileged peers don’t. Yet, they remain ambitious and determined to succeed.

The Brokerage are excited to celebrate the growth of our partnership with Mileway, a leading provider of pan-European last mile logistics real estate, as we work together to create professional opportunities for young people from under-represented backgrounds.

Ocean heard about The Brokerage when he was at college but it was only during his university studies that he signed up to work with The Brokerage. 

Ubaid first learned about The Brokerage when he was at St Angela’s sixth form in London. The careers coordinator at the college – Chris Jarvis – played a pivotal role in his career journey, including taking him on trips to Brokerage events with Deutsche Bank, Societe Generale, and a networking event with Insurance companies. 

Che Nabeta, now an ESG Analyst at Sustainable Fitch, kickstarted his career journey through internships arranged by The Brokerage — experiences that gave him the skills, confidence, and support to study at Cambridge and thrive in the corporate world.

Ama joined The Brokerage in 2014 when she was at 6th form. At the time she was interested in both the sciences and finance and keen to get an experience in both disciplines.

Mike's education was impacted by COVID-19, so following in his sibling's footsteps, he joined The Brokerage to expand his work experience.

Mashhood changed his outlook on his future after taking part in The Brokerage as an Intern.
