1. How did The Brokerage support you?

The Brokerage supported me by helping with my CV, interview preparation and inviting me to networking events. These activities helped me better understand the corporate sector and the opportunities available to me. The activities also helped boost my confidence and improve my employability skills. I really enjoyed the networking opportunities as it gave me the chance to not only network with other Brokerage candidates but also with top professionals.

2. Please tell us about your career path.

I studied Economics, Maths and Psychology for A Level) and graduated University of Southampton a Economics and Finance degree. Through the network I had built during my internship at Lloyd’s, I was able to go back to complete other work placements at Lloyd’s of London within their Community Affairs, Events and Visits, Marketing and Finance teams. I completed an internship with PwC in their Government and Public Sector Assurance team. This gave me exposure into the Professional Services industry. Through this internship, I was offered a graduate placement and I still work for PwC 7 years later.

3. What impact has The Brokerage had on your career?

The Brokerage helped improve my employability skills and connect me to the corporate world. Before linking in with The Brokerage, I was unsure of what I wanted to do and how to get there. The guidance, support and learning I gained through The Brokerage helped me give me a great starting point and I am forever grateful for this!
