Online Mentoring
Due to the pandemic, we have paused face to face mentoring and have developed online mentoring programmes until it is safe to return to face to face mentoring again.
The Brokerage has developed online mentoring programmes with a number of employers to provide young people with vital support during these unprecedented times. With work experience placements and masterclasses facing postponement or cancellation, we want to ensure that young people are still able to use this time to develop into outstanding candidates that will impress future employers.
Typically mentees will work through a programme tailored towards their individual development needs with the support of an experienced professional. The programme is designed to give mentees all the skills they need to be able to successfully pursue a career within FPRS.
Potential topics mentees may work through include: how to write an effective cover letter, a day in the life of a tech professional, developing resilience, interview skills, time management, building a LinkedIn profile, and many more.
The online mentoring scheme will typically involve a one-hour mentor training session followed by seven one-hour mentoring sessions over consecutive weeks at a fixed time. All sessions will take place across a safe digital platform, and training and materials are provided for each session.
We currently run mentoring programmes with the following companies: (UPDATE?)
