Volunteering for Online Bootcamp with The Brokerage, 15-17 February 2022
The Brokerage Online Bootcamp is an intensive programme aimed at sixth form students (aged 16 to 18) and university students. Comprised of three consecutive days, content for the programme is specifically designed to develop students’ employability skills in self-awareness, team-work, attitude and communication, as well as their knowledge of the FPRS (financial, professional and related services) sector. Students taking part have all chosen to do so and already have an interest in FPRS career.
Using the links below, you can sign up to volunteer for one or more of the volunteering sessions. A link to volunteer brief with further information is also included. Please read these for the full details of each session.
Please note the forms below can be used to express interest in each volunteering session. You are welcome to sign up for more than one. Please be aware that sometimes sessions are over-subscribed. We will be in touch to confirm your place.
Tuesday 15 February 2022 – Sector Insights
Day one focuses on developing students’ knowledge and insight into FPRS businesses. Volunteers will be required for 1 hour in one of the masterclass slots below.

- 10:00 – 11:00: Insurance masterclass.

Wednesday 16 February 2022 – Sector Insights and Making a Good Application
Continuing on from Day one, Day two focuses on developing students’ knowledge and insight into FPRS businesses. Volunteers will be required for 1 hour in one of the masterclass slots below.

- 10:00 – 11:00: Technology masterclass
- 11:00 – 12:00: Banking masterclass
In the afternoon, Day two focuses on developing students’ knowledge of recruitment practices. This day is designed to give students an understanding into making a good job application, and what employers look for in candidates. Volunteers will be required for 1 hour at 13:30-14:30.

Thursday 17 February 2022 – Interviews and Assessment
Day three focuses on developing students’ assessment centre knowledge and skills. The day has two main sessions:
- The first session focuses on interview skills where young people work with volunteers in a mock interview setting. For this, volunteers will act as interviewers. Volunteers will be required for
1 hour in one of the interview practice session slots below (10-11am and 11am-12pm). - 10:00-11:00: Interview practice session 1

- The second session focuses on assessment practices and sees young people working in
teams on a business case study. For this, volunteers are asked to act as assessors as the
young people prepare and present their solutions. Volunteers will be required for 2 hours at
