The Insurance Times select The Brokerage as charity partner
On Thursday 6th December, we were honoured to attend the prestigious Insurance Times Awards, having been chosen as this year’s charity partner.
Held at InterContinental London – The O2 and hosted by comedian Jimmy Carr, it was an evening of glitz, glamour and celebrations as some of the nation’s leading insurance companies accepted bronze, silver and gold awards for their achievements across the sector.
We were delighted to attend with our alumni member Maria Baez, a former beneficiary of our internship, mentoring and networking opportunities.
Aged just 21, Maria wowed the audience with her confidence as she told of her journey through The Brokerage, explaining how the experiences she’s gained enabled her to develop transferrable skills, such as public speaking.
Maria, who aspires to become an actuary after completing her studies at Kings College London, explained that without The Brokerage it would have been difficult for her to develop the necessary skills and experiences to become work-ready.
It was fantastic to be part of this celebration, recognising the excellence within the insurance sector. A huge thank you to Insurance Times Awards for choosing us as your partner, and to everyone who gave a donation towards our charity!
